This has been tested with the following Operating Systems:
Windows 10 64bit
Windows 8 64bit
Windows 7 64bit

Most versions of INPA out there can be quite difficult and cumbersome to install, follow these easy steps and you should be up and running in no time.

Start by extracting the folder within the RAR file to your desktop, then locate the extracted folder (you should have found this already though, as you're reading the readme file ;)).

Then plug in the cable into a USB port on your computer, you must ONLY use this USB port from here-on for this cable.
Once installed, click Start --> Control Panel --> System --> Device Manager. This step may be different depending upon which operating system you're using, but you need to get to Device Manager.
Double click the entry 'Port (COM & LPT)' there should be an entry that should say ‘USB Serial Port (COMX)'.
Double click on it, the properties page should then appear, then click on the ‘Port Settings’ tab and then click on ‘Advanced’.
Change the 'COM Port Number' entry to 'COM1'.

Remember; only plug your OBD connector into this one USB port or you'll have to run through this all again.

No need for a restart just yet.

Run 'Step 2 Install BMW Tools.exe'

Run 'Step 3 Install INPA.exe'

Run 'Step 4 Update INPA to latest version.exe'

And finally, run 'Step 5 Add a registry entry.reg'

NOW you can restart your computer.
This step is just as important as the rest, as INPA inserts its own environment variables that it needs to work, and a restart should allow for them to come into effect properly.
